Making the puzzle board with pictures in the pieces

So here it is how to make the puzzle pieces with pictures

I have missed some steps along the way

You have to remember yourself how the  merge shapes commands work

These two shapes are merged using the picture format > merge shape tools

These two shapes make a hole one in the other using subtract - notice I removed the border from the inside shape first by making the shape outline no outline.

for the rest you need to look throughthe powerpoint that I have put on google drive

5. crop and resize the pictures so they are what you want to put together

6. now from the crop menu choose crop to shape and use a shape to put over your picture as a mask

7. If the position of the shape is not how yo want it go back to crop and adjust

8. Lets see what you can do .....

challenges

1. make a stained glass window effect from several images

2. construct a master shape like a boat/plane/vase/ box with images making up the shape

Plant a tree for christmas 2

Smething strage happened to the earlier version of this page so here it is again

Following on from last week’s session here it is the exercise to complete 🙂😉😀😃

1. Take a picture of the corner of your room where you put your Christmas tree and get it via Google photos to your computer

2. Now put the picture in a new word document and change the text wrapping to in front of text

If you struggle with this then open word and insert a picture of a living room by searching online pictures.

3. Now using the screen snip method cut out the pictures of a tree and presents from this page, put them into your word document.

4. Remove their backgrounds as we learned last week ( if you forget look at the blog entry about the orange)

5. Change the runaround of the new objects to infront of text and arrange them on your living room picture. ( you might need to resize them along the way)

6. Take a screen snip of the completed picture and put it in a new document

7. Send me your efforts by email! simple eh!

Remove the background from an image with Word

There are some interesting features behind the scenes in the office applications if you look for them. To complete this demonstration I have used Word and PowerPoint.

I used word for the removal process and PowerPoiint to video the process.

You can watch this a few times now on YouTube if you are not sure of the process.
