My virtual christmas card for you all

 Hi All,

I spend some blurry hours this week making a virtual Christmas card to share with you all. It combines hand drawn sketches, a 100 word story that I wrote, some royalty free images and audio tracks.  Watch mine and see how you could make one just like it. Just click on the picture below to be impressed (or not)

Now over to you

1. First you need a story

a 100 word story will make a video of about a minute duration. Write your story, rehearse and then record it on Audacity.

Export it as an MP3 file and remember where you have saved it. I would suggest that you save it in a folder on the desktop.

2. Add some sound effects to the story.
Hunt down some sound effects from the BBC sound library https://sound-effects.bbcrewind.co.uk/
Of click the picture below.
Save the sounds as Mp3 in the same folder as your mp3 story

3. Use Audacity to put the sounds int he right places in your story. Remember to import the audio to add extra tracks then drag them along the timeline to make a believable story. export this again as an MP3 with a new name

4. Use PowerPoint to make some picture slides to illustrate your story. The use the export feature to make a movie that you will use with your mp3 file.

5. Lastly use ShotCut to combine the video file with the audio file to make your own superb video! More on this in our session!

If you can get to part 4 then all is well! - Good luck
